Chromecast router compatibility list thmim

the smallest D-Link router supported is the DIR-605L. But this is too big for me for throwing in a travel bag, as I need a true compact travel router like the DIR-505. Although the DIR-505 is not in this router compatibility list, it may still work. So my question: did anyone manage to make chromecast work with the DIR-505?
