If your listen port is blocked you can still transfer files with BitComet, but your transfer speed probably won't be very high. If you control the firewall (s) that block the port, the it/they may be fixed by following the Create Firewall Rules and Port mapping guides. Read the Port Forwarding Guide on the forum, too.
When i was downloading through bitcomet, it is going to slow and giving message Listen Port is blocked you can still download but the speed may not be fast. I have done every thing to allow the program threw my firewall, but i don't know what to do. Whats the best port to set as the listen port in BitComet and then allow through in the NAT? Currently i have both set to 6881. There is no best port at such.. it is generally better to use something very high up.. as a random example 36435, 6881 is the default port for many bittorrent clients and as such there is a good chance it could be Feb 10, 2010 · If not, it is possible your ISP has blocked your BitComet port. Try changing the port number at Tools>Options>Connection and see if it helps.
Oct 22, 2008 · My bitcomet listening port is blocked. I'm using AVG Anti Virus (don't think it comes with a firewall), bitcomet port is forwarded, windows firewall disabled. Only other security program is adaware. Modem is a 2wire 2700HGV2. Is there any solutions? Thanks to all help in advance!

I noticed in the bottom right hand corner, it is saying port blocked followed by the port number. I went into Tools > Options and ensured Listen Port was Enabled, then chose a new random port, closed Bitcomet & restarted it, however the same problem occurs.
